FAQ

What happens in my first session?

You will start your treatment journey with a clinical interview. This is where Erin gets to know you, your life story, your current challenges, symptoms and your goals for treatment. You will collaborate to formulate a treatment plan and Erin will provide you an estimate of how many sessions will be required to achieve your goals.

How much does it cost?

Sessions are charged in accordance with APS rates for psychologists, which is currently $280 per session. Medicare and private health rebates are available.

Do I need to bring anything with me?

Generally, no. If you have received psychological treatment in the past, it may be useful to have those records handy but Erin will discuss this with you on the phone during the pre-screening process before your first session.

Where do sessions happen?

Locations vary. Many clients prefer to do their sessions online via Zoom as it is more convenient for scheduling. Some clients visit Erin in her office in Terrigal. Others opt for Erin's flagship Beach Talk program which combines walking in nature with treatment for improved treatment outcomes.

What is the cancellation policy?

Erin asks for 24 hours notice for cancellations that can be avoided. A 50% fee is charged for missed appointments without notice.

Is my information kept private?

Yes. Confidentiality, discretion and trust are three of Erin's core values. She understands that leaders and those in public positions require high levels of privacy in order to get the treatment outcomes they deserve. As a registered psychologist, Erin is held to the highest possible standards when it comes to confidentiality. Erin will be happy to discuss this policy further with you in the pre-screening telephone call she conducts with all of her clients.
